Hailey creating an experiment
Established in 2005, JJ’s Playhouse is a nonprofit organization with a vision to provide an explorative and fun place for children to learn. Our interactive museum and gym will cater to children ages 2 to 12 offering exposure to permanent and traveling exhibits as well as exercise systems designed just for them. Such places focusing on the development of the whole child do not exist in our community.

Mission

Our mission is to positively stimulate a child’s mind, body, and spirit through interactive learning exhibits and educational programs that are fun, healthy, safe and inspirational.

Programs & Services

Museum — the museum will consist of nine permanent interactive exhibits with different themes for kids to play, act, and explore.

Gym — the exercise stations at JJ’s Playhouse will be designed just for children. Equipment will not require adjusting from adult usage. This approach will help introduce proper exercise techniques and habits to children at an early age. Equipment will be totally kid powered so kids can control their pace and establish lifelong skills.

Strategic Goals

  • Provide local parents, day care centers and schools with another form of interactive education for children.
  • Introduce new and exciting traveling exhibits from around the country to the children of west metropolitan Atlanta communities.
  • Decrease obesity in children through educational and training programs.
  • Increase the awareness of healthy eating and physical exercise to children.
  • To bring volunteer opportunities to local college students, senior citizens and retirees, and members of the community that express an interest in children.

Funding

Since JJ’s Playhouse will operate as a tax-exempt organization, organizers will rely on funding resources through visiting patrons, product sales, as well as generous donations from local businesses, grants, philanthropic foundations, and community organizations
